Three Strategies on How to Explode Your Blog traffic

NOTE: all information found in this post are suggested strategies that I use daily. Some links are affiliates to companies I use and trust.

Overview of my Blogging Success:

I launched Beauty, Christ, & Relationships on November 14, 2017. My blog was birthed out of my battle with depression, anxiety, and insomnia. As you can see, it came from a very dark place. But, has brought me so much joy. Within only 2 months, I have experienced growth both mentally and socially through the success of my blog. I wanted to write this post to give a few strategies on what I did and continue to do to be successful in the blogging community.

Strategy #1- Start where your pockets can afford.

Yes, you heard me right. I will encourage you to first pick a blogging platform that is affordable for your pockets. Jesus purposely instructs us that we should owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law (Romans 13:8). You cannot create GREAT blog content if you’re stressed out. You’ll lose your focus driving yourself insane. Be smart and choose your battles wisely.

What you write keeps others coming back for more. Creating QUALITY content is most important.

There will be a lot of bloggers using sales tactics to encourage you to self-host. But, you must live in a matter where you can grow efficiently without added stress.

I started with BLOGGER. Why? I was unemployed and needed to utilize a FREE platform that would allow me to release my most inner emotions caused by my depression, anxiety, and insomnia. Writing for me is therapeutic. As I begin to see Jesus change my circumstances. That’s when I decided to self-host. Read my step by step self-host guide here. Plus, my most my vulnerable experiences were touching the lives of others. I wanted my platform to reflect what Jesus is doing for me. Spreading the Good news delights my heart. Each post that I create, is me thanking the Lord for where he has brought me from.

Strategy #2- Enroll in an E-Course.

An E-course!? Now, why would I want to do that? You need wisdom, tips, and techniques from someone with more experience. Learning from OTHERS will allow you to develop more CREATIVE ways to grow your blogging platform. I don’t know about you. But, my goal is to become self-employed SPREADING the LOVE of JESUS around NATIONS. Praise God for teaching us how to live the abundant life as he instructs us to listen to advice and accept instruction, that we may gain wisdom in the future (Proverbs 19:20).

I received so much WISDOM from EllDuclos e-Course entitled, BE YOUR OWN D**N BOSS  After, implementing all the strategies in the course, I have endured an overflow of blessings. Jesus has prepared a table for me, in the presence of all my enemies; he anointed my head with oil; and my heart cup overflows (Psalms 23:5).

Now, I know you’re wondering who Ellduclos is? Ell is 24 years old from a small Massachusetts town. Her blogging journey in April 2017. She was a full-time server. Now, 8 months later she was able to quit her job as a server and BLOG full time. Did I mention she has a Facebook group that has grown into 25,000 amazing female bloggers and entrepreneurs who are all so motivating, inspiring and supportive! (Read more about her here)

The Growth I Experienced after the E-course:

– I landed my first free Product Review with a skincare company. The awesome part is the company reached out to me via Instagram. No pitch needed here.

-I landed an ongoing paid sponsorship with the author of the Gusty Girl Book Series. I get to read the stories before they’re launched, give feedback on the quality of the story and illustrations.

-All social media accounts (Facebook Page, Instagram, Twitter, Google + and Pinterest) are constantly growing daily.

Here’s an example:

These stats are Impressions from the Last 7 days (January 24, 2018-January 30, 2018): the views Pins from my website get on Pinterest.

As you can see implementing the Pinterest strategies from E-Course has been a blessing.

-The content on my blog is getting read and talked about which has allowed me to develop a strong bond with my following.

Strategy #3- Join Facebooks Groups specific to your niche.

Facebook groups allow us to network with others. It gives you a chance to gather tips, techniques, and wisdom from the inexperienced and experienced. Think of FACEBOOK groups as free online support. After you have acquired all the knowledge your brain can take. Eventually, branch off and create a group of your own to fit the specifics needs that you’re looking for.

Did I mention that Facebook open endless possibilities? Yes, it is the easiest place to collaborate with others including small businesses.

Here are some of my suggested groups:

Boss Girl Bloggers – A group that EllDuclos actually started with over 25,000 female bloggers + entrepreneurs that help each other learn, and grow successfully!

Instagram Growing Pod(Ladies Only)- A group of over 4,000 women that will help the engagement on your Instagram account grow. All you have to do participate in the threads and reciprocate.

Christian Women Bloggers Unite– This group filled with over 1,000 Christian women who love Christ, give tons of advice, support, and is a different and exciting way to collaborate with others in the Christian niche. I have made a lot of blogging friends in Christ and definitely, thank God for allowing me to fellowship with these phenomenal women.
