Day 2: Your MInd-Transformed & Renewed

Happy Day 2, friend! I’m so excited to be here with you and cheer you on.

First, GO YOU for getting through Day 1! Seriously. You signed up & you showed up. That’s a big deal. Now it’s time for another great lesson in FAITH!

So, what will we learn on Day 2? We will uncover one of the GREATEST gifts God has given us all.

The greatest gift God has given us is our MIND- Transformed & Renewed.

Let me explain this our mind is the center of our thinking. It drives our decision making – for good or evil. If our mind is focused on honorable things, sinful thoughts are kept out. That means that your mind will be FREE of mistrust and doubt in Jesus.

This means that our mind is central to our whole Christian lifestyle. Your mind determines what you think about God and whether you will obey Him. Your thinking should, therefore, be distinctive from non-Christians who have their mind blinded and do not understand spiritual ideas.

But, we must BEWARE of the STRONGHOLDS that will try to keep our mind trapped deep in the enemies lies. According to Minstering Deliverance (2009), a stronghold is an incorrect thinking pattern that has molded itself into our way of thinking. Worry can be a stronghold. Negative thinking can be a stronghold. Seeking the approval of other people can be a stronghold. Anything that you make an idol in your life can be a stronghold — fear, guilt, resentment, insecurity. These things can be strongholds in your mind.

Faith works in and with the mind. When you allow these strongholds to cause disbelieve or doubt. Your FAITH decreases.  As a result, the mind’s ability to believe is immediately reduced, resulting in unfaithfulness. When your mind is not being controlled by the Spirit, it stops thinking supernaturally and downsizes what God can do.

Okay, so let’s start Day 2:

S (Scripture): “And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.”-Philippians 4:8-9

O (Observation): I need to fix my thoughts on what is true and honorable in the eyesight of Jesus. This means that I need to be mindful of the fact that my mind is renewed, and use mindful judgment to discern what is good, acceptable and perfect, and the will of God.

A (Application): Never allow mental anguish or strongholds separate me from the gift God has given me a transformed and renew mind to think as He would.

P (Prayer): “Lord, I believe your word in Philippians 4:8-9 help me to fasten my mind on what is true and honorable. Transform my thoughts so that my dwelling may not be in negativity. Renew my mind and break all strongholds that the devil has set against me to keep me captive. Only you’re strong enough to fight this battle within my mind. Allow your strength to live with me. In Jesus name, I pray. -Amen

God is for you. He is your #1 FAN. The troubles you experience with your mind will never separate you from Jesus, if you don’t allow it too. Reading the Bible and meditating on it daily gives the ability to break  strongholds.

OH gosh, looks like we have made it all the way through DAY 2. I hope your FAITH is becoming stronger during this process as you discover the correlation between your FAITH and all the topics assigned.

Stay tuned for Day 3, We will answer this question next: Are you a negative person or a positive person? Do you build people up or tear them down?

See Ya Soon,
