Day 5- Your Emotions, Be Calmed

Hey! Welcome to Our Last and final Day of this Challenge. Pat yourself on the back, it feels so awesome to reach the finish line to Day 5- Your Emotions, Be Calmed. I am so proud of you for sticking it out with me over the past 5Days, life tends to keep us busy. I know that holding this type of commitment can be very challenging. I am a full-time college student, plus I work full-time, a stepmom and fiancée. So, I know that juggling life and time can be extremely hard. To be honest, I can’t even understand how I was able to complete this challenge with no interruptions.

But, don’t walk away just yet! We still have this last S.O.A.P to complete, and it’s filled with a lot of GREAT faith builder tips that you don’t want to miss out.

Let’s jump right in!

S (Scripture): “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”-Philippians 4:6-7

O (Observation):  This passage shows the vast amount of love that God has for us and trust that we must have in God.

A (Application): I need to be a woman who is controlled by God’s peace and who is not on edge 24/7. This allows me to be in place to openly accept Jesus embrace.

P (Prayer): Lord, I believe in Philippians 4:6-7, I don’t have to be anxious towards life nor do I need to worry about what’s ahead. Allow my spirit to be calmed. I will come to you oh, father about everything that my heart so rightfully desires. You are the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and ending. I will rely on you alone to control the emotions that try to cause my spirit to be defeated. Lord, your life has shown me that I would experience hardships. I can’t even imagine what you went through when you were pierced on the cross and ridiculed for your beliefs. Your life is a true example that my reaction towards any circumstance should be of joy. I know you will never put more on me then I can bear. In Jesus, name I pray, Amen.

Faith Builder Takeaways:

– If we seek God’s touch in these five areas (heart, mind, mouth, body, and emotions) of our life we will rarely have a reason to feel we’re going over the edge because our FAITH is steadfast.

– Pray for everything, so that your heart has a spirit of thanksgiving for what you’ve been given in the good and bad times in your life.

-If your heart begins to desire worldly things that it should not attain, set it on things above.

– Speak, Listen, Read, Digest the scriptures daily. (Youversion app is awesome especially when you’re at work on a break).

– Only confess what the Word of God states when it comes to your BODY and how you feel about yourself.
